Aspirometer, for In Situ Gas Sampling (U201100896)
Aspirometer for "in situ" gas sampling, transport and laboratory analysis of gases.
It enables contamination-free measurement and preservation of gases from the heart. With the help of the aspirometer, a gas embolism (air embolism), for example, can be determined as the cause of death.
Using an aspirometer, the ventricles are punctured separately with an aspirometer needle and the air or gas is aspirated until the ventricle is completely empty. Quantitative measurement of ventricular filling is thus possible. For qualitative determination, the air or gas is preserved under exclusion of air and analysed by gas chromatography. A specially prepared - head-space vessel is used for this.
Scope of delivery:
1* Aspirometer cylinder 250 ml with Teflon drain cock at the top and two threaded connections for Luer adapters and a threaded connection for the hose connection to the aspiration bottle.
